Importance of Chasing Your Dreams

Previously I wrote about the importance of having dreams. I also think it’s important, whenever possible, to chase your dreams. Don’t get me wrong. Having dreams is awesome. They’re what makes those gray dreary days a little more bearable. They’re what encourages us to get out of bed in the morning, to go out and conquer the world. Having dreams is awesome.

I think it’s equally awesome to chase your dreams. If you want to be a published author, write every single day. If you want to run a marathon, train every day. If you want to be a toy designer, know everything there is to know about toys.

And talk to people. Network. (I struggle with networking, but I know it’s really important.) Go see things and experience things and fully embrace life. The more you experience the more you’ll be able to feed that into your passion. And maybe along the way you’ll find an extra passion. (I LOVE to write, but I also enjoy drawing, painting, and taking photos. My passions are very creative.)

Get up each morning and do something you love to do. For me, that means finding time to write every day. Maybe for you it means running or painting or taking photos or designing toys or dancing. Whatever it is, go out and do it.

Chase your dreams.
